dampened spirits

After yesterdays mega walk and the continuing wet weather today there was little enthusiasm for another walk. Except that is for the young 2, Dan and Lotty walked the 4 miles to Snape Maltings and we drove to meet them for lunch. They were soaked and Dave had stayed relatively mud free until he decided to jump in the reeds and water when they were opposite the Maltings. The blip is of them completing the walk viewed through the rigging.
Our plan to visit Minsmere has been on hold as a large part has been closed due to flooded paths, we will try tomorrow and hope its drier. The extra shows the tentacles of autumn that seem to be wrapping around us at the moment. Suffolk is usually good for weather but this week we appear to be having the worst on offer in the UK, never mind the weekend after next we are off to the Lakes !
Dan and Lotty have set off home now as they both have work tomorrow, they are taking a week off to join us again in the Lakes (without Dave, who goes back to L’s mom). Nick and Liz did their own thing today.
