Missing

I've blipped this glass globe before but I thought by placing it in the morning sunshine it might throw up something interesting for Abstract Thursday, light and shadows. It did. I tried a few Topaz filters and found that with a couple of them the UK disappeared entirely into the shadows. Hmm. I liked the autumnal colours as well.

In other news we had our flu jabs this afternoon, at the local pharmacy rather than the GP.  We originally had appointments booked with the GP surgery for October but they would have fallen in the self-isolating period we have coming up. The GP can't get any vaccine until October, while the pharmacy has had plenty. They've done about 250 now. Something doesn't seem right here. We also had a call yesterday from Southmead following up on my complaint. They asked if it would help if they tried to fix up an appointment with mrsfb's consultant. They were totally oblivious to the fact that we now had a date for the surgery. Something not right there either.

And the bathroom fitter came back with the 4 missing screws.  I tried the shower this morning, for 54 seconds. It tells you that. It is going to use a lot of water, we may have to get a bigger hot water cylinder. About £1000 which will account for half of what we saved by not replacing the roof light. Oh well.
