It's Windy
One of mrsfb's friends came to visit us today. We had planned to see her in the garden as it was looking OK weather wise and had set up the table, parasol and chairs on the patio. It got a bit cooler when she arrived so we headed indoors. She was really our first indoor visitor since March, not counting the bathroom fitter. We were a bit wary but she informed us she had recently been Covid tested (and was negative) as part of an ONS study she has been selected for. Not only does she get tested regularly, she gets paid for it with shopping vouchers. As we sat there inside the wind outside picked up and the parasol took off. I should have anchored it to the base, but I never do.
We had a surprise last night. We (Cirencester) won the camera club battle against 3 other clubs. I don't recall this happening before, not since I have been a member anyway. There were 65 participants on Zoom. A physical meeting wouldn't have been anywhere near so well attended. It was 66 really as mrsfb watched it with me, camera off and muted. She was very intrigued by the judging. After listening to comments about composition, juxtaposition, use of odd numbers, groups of three, use of colour, and importance of light she commented 'photography is a bit like flower arranging really'. Something to think about on Flower Friday!
