Sunday: Different Day ...

... same caterpillar? 
I have a purple leaved hazel in a pot in the garden, it’s leaves were very dry yesterday and MrD gave it a bucket of water. When I was walking past it this afternoon I gave one of the leaves a gentle squeeze to check if they’d recovered but what I felt was not a leaf, closer inspection revealed the caterpillar, see yesterday’s blip ... lucky I’d handled the leaf gently!
Half an hour later a lot of the leaf had been eaten :-))
Weather pleasant all day.
We had lovely chat with our little granddaughters and their parents this morning, always lovely to catch up xxxx
