Saturday: Caterpillar

East wind still with us but I was determined to do todays's gardening job - clearing the "top path" which runs across the back of what my sons call "The Mausoleum"!
Collecting my equipment together: green bin, secateurs, MrD's big spade, large plastic bucket - walking up the steps I saw the caterpillar which was well camouflaged against the concrete steps, moved it to one of the large tubs with an apple tree in it. 
Think it might be the caterpillare of the Buff Tip Moth https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buff-tip - shout-out to my Blip Friend Sgwarnog who is an expert in these matters! :-))
Cleared the length of the path and some of the nettles and brambles under the bird feeders, not too much clearing where the birds need protection from all the predatory birds of prey who come through quite often ...
Afternoon spent “relaxing” doing family history, so many interesting characters!
