Italian Water Garden at Buscot Park
Today we broke out our newly-minted National Trust Cards for the first time. A year of visits to stately homes and gardens awaits! Who needs Australia!
We had a great day at Buscot Park, near Farringon. A late 18th-century house, set in extensive landscaped grounds.
A really nice part of it was that despite the size it was filled with small, intimate, spaces; each quite different from the rest. There was a beautiful Four Seasons Walled Garden, a lovely Italian Water Garden, a Swing Garden - with swing seats and a kinetic sculpture of Sycamore Seeds, and a Citrus Bowl, with Orange, Lemon and Lime Trees (see Extra Photos)
