View from the cab.....
A day of bales. Spent most of the day hauling big square wheat bales home from bandit country. They are 8’ x4’ so can get 18 on a load. Had 3 trailers on the go and out of 137 bales the wee neds had only managed to destroy 2 behind the scheme so that was quite a good outcome.
Came home and left the staff to unload bales while I headed off to round bale barley straw down near Dalhousie Castle.
This is a 60 acre field and it is 800 meters long, and as rough as can be . So at least the rough ground kept me from nodding off. Finished there about 7.30 then headed back to bandit country to bale their last field which is at the very top of the hill. You certainly got a good view of Edinburgh and the Forth and across to Fife and beyond.
Had it all bales up and home by 10 pm , so not a bad days work .
