Farningham

I found yet another new nature reserve to explore near Mum's, Farningham Wood. It's tucked in a corner made by the M25 and M20 motorways, and the hum of traffic is ever present, but if you can tune that out this is a peaceful site with just the occasional dog walker to meet.

Given the time of year, I was really hoping for some fungi, but the ground was very dry (the "pond" was little more than a muddy puddle), so specimens were few and far between, but I did find a nice clump of baby  shaggy parasol (extra).

The southern edge of the woods have glorious views over fields  across the Darenth Valley. My main blip is looking towards the village of Farningham.
