Greenwich and London skyline...
We have had a really wonderful afternoon on a day of beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures. Like those summer days, a few weeks ago...
We went to Blackheath where we parked the car and walked across the heath to Greenwich Park. The naval college buildings looked wonderful from the top of the hill by the observatory. We were able to go inside the The Queen’s House and the Presence Rooms and see the amazing paintings. Only half an hour before closing at 4pm so we shall have to return... soon.
A drink at The Trafalgar by the Thames then back through Greenwich past the Cutty Sark, my extra. The masts looked great against the sky.
Back through the park gates and across the heath into Blackheath itself where we decided to eat out before driving home.
A very brief write up of a gift of an afternoon. We are blessed to live near these wonderful places and to be fit and able to walk, walk, walk our way round.
