Another red bus.....

This time, converted to an Afternoon Tea venue and I was very impressed! I was welcomed on board to take a look and watch the staff setting up for the next tea.

We were in Knightsbridge (AGAIN) to visit our optician who had noticed a flaw in one of the lens of my reading glasses when I collected them almost three weeks ago. Imperceptible to me but not acceptable to the professional eye. A replacement lens was sent from Japan and today we had to take my glasses in for the switch to take place.

Three hours, 10.6km, 15,388 steps later and we were able to collect my glasses! We'd walked round Hyde Park and the Serpentine, which was such a happy place today, busy with pedalos and rowing boats, through the Princess Diana memorial park and fountain, crossed Rotten Row and finally back to Sloane Street and Knightsbridge.

It's been another gift of a day with beautiful blue skies and sunshine. A real September treat. As forecast, it's now raining, and we say goodbye to these amazing late summer days.

Sophia has had her first day at secondary school! She'll have quite a journey each day. We messaged this evening and she's had a great day. She's very tired this evening. Bless her xx
