Smile..

More often.

This afternoon I had my first hair appointment since pre lockdown.  Although I have been colouring my own hair during this time, it is the first cut since Jan/Feb.

Whilst sitting in the chair allowing the colour to take hold, the heavens opened once again and all the market stalls in the square frantically tried to move their goods out of the downpour.

Towards the end of doing my hair, my hairdresser ran of a couple of times. At first I thought maybe she had to take a call but on the second time I realised something wasn’t quite right.  On her return I asked if she was ok and she said she had a minor op last week but was feeling quite faint. She had phoned her boyfriend to pick her up.  Luckily, she was just about done with my hair as by this time she was really shaking and I knew, due to restrictions, there wasn’t anybody else to take over from her.

Afterwards I was meeting two friends and ex colleagues for dinner. One of them being the mum of my hairdressers boyfriend. I let her know what had happened and she said the doctors had told her it was ok to return to work however, she felt it was too soon especially being on your feet all day. T messaged my friend later during our meal to apologise to me and to pop back if I needed to, bless her.

My first visit to Kingston since March so a couple of extras.

.... and don’t forget to keep smiling. Go on, you know you want to. It does you good ;-))
