Aye Right!
Aye, right! - being a unique example of a double positive becoming a negative as opposed to the more familiar double negative which translates to a positive.
The only other negative today is not for once the weather, but the cost of a replacement crown for one of His Lordship's teeth. Since when did crowns cost £360 on the NHS? We might have to remortgage the Dower House, but anything would be better than having a set of gnashers swimming in a tumbler beside the bed.
Did I mention that it is a beautiful day in Edinburgh today? The sun is shining and although it is bitingly cold in the wind, who cares when we don't have ice or snow.
All I have to do now is read the above and see what the minimum is I have to do to keep His Lordship on side.
There doesn't seem to be anything about subsidising the cost of crowns, thank goodness.
