Chessel's Court

Any brass monkeys out and about today would have been castrated quickly and painlessly in the freezing wind which made it feel like -3 degrees.

Still, I'd rather be cold than wet and cold.
While we in the central belt of Scotland have nothing to complain about, the south of England is slowly submerging into the Channel, and the Highlands of Scotland have more snow than parts of Europe's ski resorts, with the snow gates currently closed at Glenmore and the Cairngorm funicular railway also closed.

We in Edinburgh now wait to see if the snow is coming our way overnight as forecast.

I braved the temperatures to blip Chessel's Court off the Royal Mile. The Mansion Flats there were built in 1748 by Wright and Chessel.
