Breakfast out to help out
Archie’s Big Day Out. But he wasn’t quite so keen to rush in this time... mind you, when he looked in the first gate, there were four black labs waiting on the other side of the fence, waiting for all the new arrivals... While he was deciding whether to go in or not, we skipped off.
We were on a mission. I had checked on the map and realised we were very near the Pentlands Regional Park, where people famously go cycling, hiking and dog walking. I wanted to check if the roads/paths round the reservoirs were suitable for namby-pamby e-bikers, not just hardy mountain bikers. And they are! There’s a big car park, with lots of nice flat paths heading off in all directions. And so we’ll take the bikes there, maybe next week, if the weather’s kind. (We’re definitely fair weather, car free/flat road cyclists.)
Back in town, we walked into Bruntsfield for a breakfast treat. And it was half price. We both had avocado on sourdough toast with a poached egg. JR had started hers before I could get a shot! And this was my only photo of the day.
We walked along to have a look in the gallery and see if the wee puppy-with-no-name was there, but she was sadly not.
The crèche staff member said Archie had a wee schnauzer playmate today, Max, though he himself has told us nothing. He has been bathed and blow dried, had his tea and a wee play and is snoring now. Dreaming of the lovely day he’s had, obvs.
More rain expected tomorrow and Friday. I may need to make (and eat) more scones.
