Grimsel Pass

Route 8 bike ride. Day 1. 910 mètres of ascent and 64km....all on a normal road bike. So pleased that I was able to do it.

We took the train to Oberwald then cycled over the Grimsel Pass to Meiringen. The scenery was stunning. The road was endless switchbacks (see extras) but we went up at a nice steady pace so it was easier than I thought it was going to be. We stopped at Gletsch for a coffee on the way up.
