Eyes on the prize
I had to go down to Villeneuve this morning to pick up a new washer so I decided to do a detour and spent a pleasant 45 mins at the lake. It was great watching the birdlife there. Someone started feeding the ducks and the Blackheaded gulls were determined to have their share. It was noticeable how their plumage has already started to change from a black head to a spot behind their eyes, which is winter plumage.
The extras show a swan that was making strange movements ploughing through the water then swimming back normally. also a Tufted Duck that impressed me with how long it could stay under the water...far longer than any of the other ducks.
