crystal carpet

A very dreich day today with the mist lying really low and enveloping all in its path. I didn't take very many photos but thought this one shows how, on a still day like today, the damp mist leaves dewdrops covering even the slightest of grasses and the overall effect was of a shimmering sea as i walked through it. The shot also gives you a good impression of the moorland where I regularly walk with the dogs and just in the background you can see the suggestion of young deciduous trees.

I had noticed for a few days now - well a couple of weeks if I am honest! - that my aquarium had developed a very tiny leak in the base. So I couldn't put it off any longer and spent the afternoon carefully transferring fish into an old tank which had been lurking in the garage. I now have to empty the original tank and test it to see where the damage is as I think I can buy Aquarium sealant which should sort the problem,. I really, really hate it when things like this go wrong as it takes up so much time to fix!!
