The library is open

On lockdown day 141 the library at Pollokshaws opened in the afternoon along with three others in the city, they will all open by the end of October. It was fairly busy at 2.20 with covid mitigation in place. You are allowed to browse as you would have always done meaning that I think they could place more sanitiser about the space; while you have to clean your hands as you come in there is nothing to stop you self infecting while browsing and then the potential for transmission if you replace a book on the shelves. Perhaps I am being overly cautious but the experience of New Zealand is salutary - no cases for 104 days and then suddenly four all in the same family in Auckland and which is now back in lockdown. All that said I was very happy to borrow 'The Second Worst Restaurant in the World'.
A trip to Silverburn to pick up my T-shirt from M&S, as busy as I have seen it which was a bit surprising at 4.30 in the afternoon. Two trips there in two days, yesterday was delighted that Cotswold Outdoor are going to replace my walking boots where the mesh has split, actually I think they are still waterproof but a new pair is not to be sniffed at.
I have managed to extricate myself from DL Gym membership, in due course I will investigate the options at Nuffield, I will miss the outdoor pool.
