2020 Sunday — The Word

I don’t live in Cleveland, but if I did I would make a concerted effort to attend Parkside Church. Pastor Alistair Begg was raised in Edinburgh, but I think he is possibly the best preacher in America.

Even before the pandemic and the closure of big group gatherings, we would watch and listen to the service at Parkside Church. Pastor Begg is an excellent teacher. Now, looking at his empty building as he speaks is just overwhelming. I can’t imagine teaching to an empty room, but he’s doing a great job.

I especially enjoy his allusions to music. This morning he mentioned a Paul Simon song and told the story.

The message this morning was from the Old Testament book, I Samuel 26. It’s short, but thought provoking about King Saul and King David.
