2019 Friday — Nice Dinner

Just moments before our server asked if we’d like to see the dessert menu, I said to Mr. Fun, “No matter what’s on the dessert list, we need to skip dessert.”

Then she handed us the list and added “The chef’s special dessert tonight is Tiramisu.”

As she walked away, I said, “Just get the Tiramisu!”

So we did. Oh my! When the dessert arrived on a dinner plate and one piece was more than two servings, we were in oink heaven.

Then we took our first bite — without a doubt it is best most delicious Tiramisu we’ve ever enjoyed. Okay, maybe the first slice we had way back in the 80s in Laguna Beach was just slightly better, but it had shaved chocolate on top!

I haven’t even mentioned the view; the restaurant is right on the harbor in Morro Bay, so we watched otters and seals play in the water, and the sail boats turned as the tide changed and the current reversed its direction.

We’ve enjoyed a lovely evening.
