Javelin success for Cabbage White
Excellent news on this, that last day of the Games!
Our little cabbage white butterfly has been training hard all week for this, the final event of the Garden and Indoor Plants Javelin (GAIPJ)
It is especially difficult to train for this event as, assembling the constituent parts of this field event prove tricky and the butterflies have to rely on their humans to create the stadium for them.
However, I am pleased to let you know that all of the factors fell into place today as the Head Groundswoman was keen for shade and therefore was able to make the conditions favourable for our friends in the field.
Here is the winner "Jagged Wing" as she lands on the Gold Medal post after throwing her javelin into the flower perfectly!
Congratulations to her and all of the competitors today.
I will be looking back over the week's events over the coming days and sprinkling some well earned rewards around the Blip arena.
Thank you for dropping by and commenting! :)
Have just added a sunset extra and a late evening news update that the Alternative Olympic Games will continue until 14 August! Whoop!! :)
