Sunrise on the Tay

Looking far from silvery. Mcgonagall* would be turning in his grave. Or perhaps it would have further inspired him!

That self same sun came streaming in the office on to my screen all morning bringing on a pounder of a headache. The powers that be removed the vertical blinds a few months back and replaced it with anti glare film which doesn't anti glare. It seems a shame to block out such a lovely view of the Tay was their rationale. Indeedy, but some of us need to see the screen to be able to work and aren't sitting looking out at the view!!!!

On the plus side the workie was there today with some further samples. The irony? The only one which will work will totally black out the view and leave us looking at a black window. I can't help but think a roller blind or two might have been a simpler solution but hey, I only work there!

Anyway enough grumping. A beautiful morning worthy of a wee detour for the view AND it's now the weekend! Hurrrah. 2 paracetamol and a glass of wine. I know how to party!

Have a great weekend blippers

* William Topaz McGonagall (March 1825[1] - 29 September 1902) was a Scottish weaver, doggerel poet and actor. He won notoriety as an extremely bad poet who exhibited no recognition of or concern for his peers' opinions of his work.

Beautiful Railway Bridge of the Silvery Tay!
With your numerous arches and pillars in so grand array
And your central girders, which seem to the eye
To be almost towering to the sky.
The greatest wonder of the day,
And a great beautification to the River Tay,
Most beautiful to be seen,
Near by Dundee and the Magdalen Green.
