Whipped mr Lif into action this morning and he duly obliged by painting the utility room is it really 5 years since it was last done?? Whoops!

Then we headed down to Morton Loch for a minor bimble. Poppy dog has been a bit lame this week so an afternoon trekking on the beach was off the agenda. It also meant I could try spying birdies with my new camera. Hmm.

The swans were less than obliging, dipping their heads under water at every opportunity. Can you see the cross in the reflection? There were loads of ducks all mingling happily. Do you know what kind of duck this is?

Time for that cava. Our Chinese neighbours are celebrating their new year tonight with fireworks. Oscar, the lurcher is quivering like a jelly :( I hope their firework budget is small.
