Bull finch visitors

Me and Mrs Bullfinch appeared on our bird feeders today for the second day running. It's not very often we see the female, she is so much less distinctive than her exotic mate.

I was very glad to see the sunshine this morning and set off for a run, 4k today which I was quite happy with.

Back home in time to get a phone call from the garage to say that my car service was done and that it had passed its MOT too, needing only a couple of bulbs replaced. We had lunch with Ali who had run across, she runs the three miles to put house and then back again regularly. I feel like a bit of a fraud, I don't do hills so over to Corstorphine, except cos the cycle track, its out of the questing! After lunch, it was off down to Restalrig to pick the car up. Colin and his mum carried on down to Portobello in his car to revisit the area they lived in for his first 12 years or so.

I popped into Kathryn's briefly then to a friends house to pick up some Bay leaves. We decided to have our Chinese meal tonight as it was mum's last night, she thoroughly enjoyed it and I was glad not to have to think about cooking! .

We had our regular bridge evening and as we were both playing mum sat with Colin and experienced her first online bridge, she rather liked it, it had been difficult to explain so good that she got to see how a game works. She and Colin used to play regularly in Banchory until he retired and moved back home full time 6 years ago. I think she misses it.
