Mating butterflies
Monday
Hot and sunny again, but about five or six degrees cooler than it was yesterday, when we reached 95F! We got out after breakfast, and went hiking at Caesar Creek State Park, where much of the trail was shaded under the trees. It was very quiet there today - we only passed a few other people on the trail, saw a couple of Mums with their daughters playing in the stream, and a couple of boats out on the lake. We crossed over the pedestrian suspension bridge over the stream, but actually there was so little water in it at that point we could easily have walked across the stream bed, using rocks as stepping stones. I caught sight of these two butterflies early in our walk, at the side of the trail. I’ve put another couple of scenes from our walk in extras.
