Had a long leisurely breakfast with a friends friend, Lucy ( and her 2 dogs) who is walking Ireland to find raise for cancer research. She camped here for the night ( in the rain) and we had mighty dog, horse and cancer chats .
Hubs and I checked out green living roof options from a local company and this is their vast sedum bed. Basil made himself at home and got a good stick game going on the bouncy sedum ! We liked the grass, chive and wild flower seed mix roof a lot ( see extra ) and will probably do our own version as it seems a bit pricey to buy.
Other extra is the super sweet ‘Pirate’ the chihuahua , Basil bit him on the nose, I was mortified , thankfully Lucy is a totally chilled dog person who understands these things . Thanks Lucy !
Excellent lesson at riding club , Daisy went really well except for her usual party trick of wrong leg on left rein. Lots of long and low Julie !! Used my new trad saddle and all went well , but tomorrow Really looking forward to the total contact saddle experience. Bought need stirrup leathers for the occasion and would have had stirrups too but our local equine shop is having trouble getting certain stock , the effects of Covid lockdown production are starting to hit home .
