Slindon down South Downs Way Day 6 18km

The Roman part of the South Downs Way.  Noviomagus is Chichester but means New Market. .  Anyway today’s walk was full of interesting things.   Large tract of National Trust land which was busy and many small nature reserves between woodland and field which was very quiet.  The saddest thing is the miles and miles of dead ash.  Some landowners are ripping it out which is desolate but other areas it is just slowly dying which is almost worse.  It was such a relief to get to some beech woods
