Solo walk

Dan and Abi went down to have tea with their mum, this evening, so I took the opportunity to get out for a walk. Boy, I felt disloyal going without Dan! And also a little lonely. 

But Dan's foot is just getting worse and worse. The blister is HUGE, stretching from the heel around the sides of his ankle and it's about two-thirds full of liquid. I'll call the GP tomorrow.

I finished reading 'Circe' by Madeline Miller. What an absolute joy of a book. Dom told me about it while I was trudging through 'Underland' and then, like the kind fellow he is, sent me a copy. It's so lovely to have had the kind of book that you take with you from room to room so that it's always at hand. It's a wonderfully written tale and, I suspect, cleverer than I can know given my half-baked knowledge of mythology.
