The Apiary

It has been a day mainly of cleaning and washing, with a quick trip to the allotment late afternoon and to a pottery and plant sale raising money for the local food bank. I got a little vase and decoration to hang from the apple tree in the garden.

On my way to and from the allotment I walk past this caravan.  It is in a field called 'The Apiary', which is rather odd as other than this caravan, all it has in it are shelters for pigs.  Perhaps the name goes back to a prior use.  The field is overgrown and filled with tall grasses and wild flowers so I can imagine it is a good spot for bees.
