Up-stream
A busy week at work. I've spoken to a few people this week who are finding with so many people working at home, they are facing an ever rising wall of emails and back to back video meetings. These can be quite an intense form of interaction compared to face to face communication. I certainly am feeling the need to carve out a bit of space to do some work which requires a different type of concentration. I'm being much stricter about structuring my day so I have short breaks away from the screen and a blend of work, although it can be difficult when the pressure is on.
Anyway, here is a much more relaxing scene of the village stream as it runs past the old mill house. I've not taken a blip looking this way up the water before. Beyond the little bridge is a pond with geese and ducks and a much bigger mill house. After heavy rain the water levels rise considerably and can begin to breach the banks. Its a popular spot for passers by to stop and ponder.
We've had rain here today and yesterday, which although means it isn't very summery, it is most welcome to rejuvenate the garden and the allotment as well as all the plants and animals around us.
Take care and have a lovely Friday evening.
