Purple!

The creeping thyme that I planted in the front garden last summer has thrived.  It now covers a large area creating a purple carpet of flowers.  The bees are enjoying it too.

Andy was out playing golf today (his first time since January) so Merlin and I had a relaxed day together.  It was windy out so 'we' did some indoor chores and then watched one of the online tutorials for my anatomy course.  Under pre-Covid circumstances I would have been attending my course this weekend but now our learning is all online - recorded videos and worksheets and then live question and answer and revision sessions each week.  I am grateful to our teacher for all the work she has done to enable us to continue with our learning.

Although I realised early on in the outbreak that some things won't go back to how they were before C-19 or at least not for a long time, I think the reality of that is now hitting me, particularly with work.  Although I have contact with my immediate team each week, I'm missing the interaction with my wider set of colleagues.  I'm hoping to join a few for an online catch-up next week.  We've been told our office can only operate at 30% capacity in order for social distancing to be met and anyone who can work from home will be doing so indefinitely. In the most part I am fine with this but I still need to absorb it and adjust a few things for it to work properly in the longer term.

Grateful it is the weekend and I have some time for non-work activities!  Hoping your day has gone well and you too are coping with things.
