Teetering on the edge

It amused me this morning to watch this nervous young collared dove plucking up the courage to launch into flight.  It paced around for a while,  aborted a couple of attempts until finally it took off. It only flew to next door's shed roof to join its parents.  They immediately took off to another garden and I imagine the lesson continued.
