Bee kind

Our bees have been busy in the garden lately (same as us!), it’s such a lovely sound hearing them buzzing around.

Some work a little too hard though, like this little chap, so we diligently keep an eye out for ones that are exhausted. Mr A spotted this one, though when I went to check there were actually two bees that looked a little worse for wear.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the best way to help a tired bee is to mix some sugar with water and offer it to drink. Please don’t use honey as this can cause more harm than good, as bees can only eat honey from their own hives; foreign honey can contain diseases which can have a devastating effect.

One bee, had a good drink then flew off but this one needed a little bit more tlc. If you zoom in, you can just about see the bee’s tongue dipping in the sugar water that I drizzled down the pole.
