Hot pink salvia

A lovely bright colour, it is one of five salvias in the bed by the pond, three of which are flowering abundantly.  They add a welcome splash of colour to the bed, which in the spring was bursting with daffs and tulips and currently looks a bit bedraggled with all these dying back.  Later it will have agapanthus and red hot pokers.

A rather cold and gloomy day, so no sitting out today, and we've taken down the shade sail, though it hasn't yet rained.  I did a supermarket shop, but completely forgot to call at the garden centre to buy some fish.  Oh well, a trip out tomorrow then.
