2020 Monday — Using Your Voice
The Amish speak without saying a word. Their protest has lots of volume. They are paying honor to George Floyd.
“Spaces: A Pastors Conversation on Race” brings together two pastors, Odell Dickerson Jr. and Josh Surratt, and Reward Sibanda, a black motivational speaker, to all have a conversation about what’s happening in America, in the world. It is a long conversation and begins slow with lots of introduction, so pull up a chair, a beverage, and possibly some note paper and pen.
In Hong Kong the police are spraying protesters with blue-dye water cannons to mark them for arrest later.
I hear Chicago Transit Authority’s song that begins “The Whole World is Watching.”
I want to listen, I want to learn, and I want to be part of the solution. I don’t believe every law enforcement officer is bad. I don’t believe every white person is racist. I do believe black peaceful protestors have something to say. It’s time to listen.
Good night,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi
