Muntjac

aka Public Enemy Number One.  This is the sweet faced villain who eats the new shoots on the trees and all the orchids.  He also eats a lot of the shrubs in the garden, although I am slowly learning which ones he leaves alone.  Luckily he doesn't like box, so we have a few box balls in the garden.

For Valentine's Day, MrHCB bought me some cordless shrub shears (he knows the way to a girl's heart).  The extra shows a ball half shorn.  It reminds me of shearing sheep (not that I ever did it myself, we always hired a team of itinerant Aussies).  But it makes light and fun work of something that can be tricky.
