So quiet....

We’re just back from a walk round the block in the cool of the evening. We joined in the Thursday clapping first and said hello to our neighbours. We live on a main road and it was noticeable on our walk, that families living in the quieter side roads, were lingering after the clapping and taking time to catch up with each other.

This eatery has been a favourite and much loved venue for many folk for a long time. It’s just down the road from our house opposite a lovely open green area. I like it. It’s now a Miller & Carter steak house and is usually full, lights on and inviting. When the time is right, surely it will open again.

Gosh, it’s been hot today. D has been busy in the garden doing a repair job on a bird bath for Big Sis. I’ve dressed two more dolls. Small clothes are tricky. I also had time with two ex colleagues and heard from one that my old castle school will open on 1st June for some year groups. She is on the rota today and tomorrow for the eight primary children in attendance.

Great to learn SweetArt’s surgery went well. Also for one of our other friends. Another is still in some discomfort from a perforated duodenum. Nasty. No visitors allowed for anyone either.
