Make Every Day Memorable

Golden Hour

With no time (gardening) or energy (due to gardening!) for a walk I have the easy blip option of strolling down to visit the owls.

Having tried harsh daylight, dusk and dark before, I thought that a roosting owl in the golden hour was worth the challenge.
As this spell of lovely weather continues, the evening light is always so photogenic.
I really don't know if this is Mum or Dad but there is usually only one adult in the oak tree during the day, with the second one appearing for the nighttime feeds.
This broken branch seems to be a favoured roost and, luckily for me is to the outside of the tree in a relatively foliage free area.
As I had hoped, the light was so much better, giving me what I consider to be the best of the recent owl images.
Two owlets continue to hop/fly from branch to branch. The largest one has now lost much of it's downy feathers (extra1)which litter the base of the tree, as well as various clues to what they've been eating.
The smaller one is still very much a fluff ball (extra 2)
Both seem to favour the top most branches right up in the canopy which makes photographing them very hit and miss but I had more success at this hour in the day.
The 3rd owlet remains in the fir tree.
