Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

By any other name...

This is our Climbing Peace rose which never lets us down. It faces east which it seems to like. It's been a mature plant for longer than we've lived here which is 26 years. The roses are huge and the scent just beautiful. In the evenings they seem to glow with colour.
Monday today and a new week.
I had my Cursillo group reunion courtesy of Zoom this afternoon while Colin was playing online bridge. A ran over to pick up her bike but our pump was playing up, so she had to run back again too. I can't believed how casually I mention running to Corstorphine from Blackhall, it sounds insane.
I took some lamb out of the freezer this afternoon, defrosted it and then googled lamb casserole. We had a delicious meal courtesy of Sainsburys online recipe. I do like doing that, it's fun and rings the changes from my favourite recipes. It's good to move things through the freezer too.
We watched the other half of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society this evening. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm glad I didn't watch it as originally planned (twice) on a plane though. Much happier seeing it in our house.

Stay home and stay safe everybody. Thanks for doing by my journal.
