Easing Back In

A more sedate walk today and without Gussie, I needed the ingredients for tomorrow’s dinner.
I had forgotten how much pleasure I get from cooking and it’s also a real pleasure to include our friends, father and daughter, for the Friday night meal, I cook and Clare walks it straight to them.
Last week we shared moussaka, tomorrow it will be stroganoff, looking forward to it.

The walk through town and home gave a good indication of how quickly some are coming out of lockdown. A lot more vehicles on the road, large numbers of pedestrians, many in groups but strangely there doesn’t appear to be many more on the beaches.

Today’s photograph is of my ‘Aloha’ rose, a birthday gift some years ago. Smells lovely and looks tremendous when in full bloom.
