Torture

Within the Service warships are known by various nicknames;
“ Sleek Grey Messenger Of Death” - Royal Naval Surface Fleet
“A Grey Target” - Royal Naval Submarine Service
“A Grey Taxi” - Fleet Air Arm & Royal Marines
But whatever you call them this one, HMS Northumberland a Type 23 Frigate, is at anchor off Falmouth to allow the pilots from RNAS Culdrose to practise their deck landings in a variety of helicopters.
Why “Torture”, well the ship will be there all weekend before deploying on Monday to the Baltic for four months and this period at anchor gives the families the opportunity to drive from Plymouth to spend the day at Maenporth Beach staring out at their loved one - so near and yet so far.

A survey of our rear fence today shows it has deteriorated to the point where I now need to put in a bit of time and effort. With it down I will temporarily have better access to the rear of the shed to paint that as well.
Just need some better weather.
