White Alpine Pasque

We had a walk from Lac Retaud (see extra) to the top of La Palette. Incredibly steep going up but we found a different way off the summit that involved crossing some snow fields. Came across a patch of White Lapine Pasque ( I think that’s what they are but hoping TonyG will confirm) which were stunning. Beautiful views of the mountains all around us, especially Les Diablerets. Glad we went early because the last part of the walk was very busy on the way down.

On the summit we met two young men who had carried up a fondue pot and were having lunch complete with a bottle of white wine. Very Swiss.
