Afternoon tea and cake

Today I baked 2 batches of scones and delivered them up the street ready for afternoon tea in honour of 75th anniversary of VE day. Lovely atmosphere in the village. A family up the top of the road were playing 40's tunes on their brass instruments. Loads of people were out in their front gardens having tea and cake. There was a socially distant conga dance up the middle of the road ( or doing the Conker as Eva put it!) and Jo who lives 2 doors down came back from running a half marathon to a big round of applause. And the weather has been beautiful. A good day to be in lock down.
