Most of the morning spent moving the horses into their summer fields. Had lots of fencing to do so Mike and the kids came down to help. It was really hot!
Betty chook is much much better, thank goodness. I'm so glad I took her to the vets as I'm sure she would have died otherwise.
Had a lovely surprise this afternoon with a knock on the door. Assumed it was a delivery but it was my friend Helen. She'd left a bag of goodies on the doorstep. They run three pubs and have obviously had to close so she was driving round everyone with a few bottles and bags of crisps and pub snacks etc ahead of the quiz tonight!
We were hosting tonight but I think we made it a bit hard. Tobes made up some very 'niche' questions! He also did a great round where he played just the riff of 5 songs on his guitar with points for name of song and band. Always amazes me how confident he is. Everyone shouted 'en-core' at the end so he quite happily picked up his guitar and played some more tunes. The quiz nearly got abandoned altogether!!
Helen and Zoe and families stayed on zoom after quiz had finished and it all got silly with a dad's dancing competition. And Nick did a rave version of Kum-bye-yah! (No idea how you spell that!)We were in hysterics. Tobes said his cheeks were hurting from laughing so much!
