Pondering Plants

Nine British grown lavender plants arrived in the post today.  I was happy to receive them as we have the flower bed under the kitchen window ready for them.  We spent some time wondering what formation to plant them in - a straight line, a zig zag line or in three groups of three.  We went for the latter as we want to intersperse them with some evergreen winter flowering shrubs (of a yet to be determined variety!) and this design gives us most flexibility.

This evening we have caught up with last night's episode of the Great British Sewing Bee.  It was children's week and I loved the smock dresses and dungarees they made.  Reminded me of the clothes I wore in my childhood.
