Sunday .....

..... sun.
Another lovely day , ( not really done on Sunday's but ...) washed the bed linen , on the line by 9.45am . Whilst I was waiting I had a stroll up the road , breakfast on return .
At 10am it was time for St John's Shirley service , as usual a great job with lovely hymns and a sermon fit for the situation we find ourselves in , ie isolation / distancing/ and generally missing families. Then I thought I would try to retrieve the service from St John's Selsdon ( last week I was unsuccessful) , altho' there was no music / hymns I was really glad to see our Rector and the visiting priest ( at home of course ) one of my favourite preachers , so down to earth and really good to listen to.
He said one of his wife's favourite texts came from Isaiah " Faith is what you can't see , not what you can". I think this is profound and for me very true . So the C19 is what we can't see but must have faith that we'll get through it.
Then this afternoon I put in some plants my daughter brought on Saturday , it's beginning to look a bit like summer in the garden now.
Then the Big Quiz!!! North v South , via a Zoom meeting , lovely to be able to see folks. Sad to say the South were rubbish with the intelligent North only got one wrong . I'm astounded at KJD technology , all the rounds/ questions even a cup for the winner was on the screen . Think we ought to have another quiz master as she's obviously the clever one . Then just may be we'd be awarded the cup at some point!!
Thank you K for your research etc it was great fun.
I'm now going to get my meal which will be Salmon and salad with a yogurt for afters.
Hope you've all had a good day and will enjoy your evening .
Stay safe everyone.

Grateful ..... for all the technology which is keeping us all in touch and grounded during " lockdown".
