Sally Mair - Loving life

My teachers always said I'd a butterfly mind. I wouldn't mind if I could look like these two. The comma hung around for ages this morning. I'm sure I commented just yesterday or the day before that I hadn't seen one. The peacock seemed to take great pleasure sunning itself on the warm soil, there was also an orange tip and a tortoiseshell flitting around but neither settled for long enough to be pictured.

What a lovely day today, a hint of, hopefully, the weather to come later this year.

I spent a while doing small jobs in the garden - but not putting in much effort to be honest - then spent the rest of the time stretching out on my sun lounger reading my book, sometimes with my eyes closed, lol. I did empty another of last year's sacks of King Edward's, which we are thoroughly enjoying I might add. This one has just over 1.5kg in it, a little less than the laat. I carried the compost from the sack through to the front garden and spread it on the terrace bed. It gets very dry and baked there being sorry facing and the compost really helps. One of the good things about growing the potatoes in bags is having lots of healthy compost to spread around the following year.

I also bought a cold frame online today from Aldi, a good buy and a very good price. It will make life a lot easier over the next few weeks..... providing it doesn't take too long to arrive of course.
We went for a short walk after dinner but it was definitely cooling off by then. Finished the day watching a series 7 episode of Vera, it's fun shooting around the series! Had a look out for the Starlink satellites passing at 9.10 but the skies were very cloudy so no luck.

Thank you so much for your very generous hearts for my sunset yesterday. I get very excited when one of my blips makes it to the popular pages. Quite makes my day so thank you.

Keep well everybody and stay safe inside.... and don't inject any disinfectant!
