Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Wow

The sunset tonight was spectacular, the extra was taken about 15 minutes before the main blip, couldn't decide which I preferred, you choose!

Thursday today, still a bit windy, but the temperatures are creeping up. This morning I potted on a few plants for Ali and generally tried to work out what I'm going to do with my veg seedlings, I've a tendency to prefer pots rather than using the beds, not sure why. The challenge is always how best to support beans and peas and sweet peas but I think I've worked out this years plan.
I've been hardening off the peas and sweet peas, I think it's almost time to leave the peas uncovered overnight, but not quite time to plant out the sweet peas. Its so hard to be patient! This year though there is less room for error than usual as it may not be possible to get replacements if I lose them to frost.

My spray lacquer arrived to use as a top coat on the thank you stone which I made, so that can now be left out as, hopefully, it is now weather proof.

We had to take a meter reading at church today so wandered along to Lauriston Castle while we were in the area, we waved through the window to the Stephen, Izzy and Bess on the way past.

Clapping for carers this evening, it's hard on a main road but there is a group of us out each week making more and more noise as the weeks go by.

Keep well and safe everybody, I think we are all starting to feel the strain, I had quite a wobble last night, but today was a new day and better. I know a lot of people who are feeling really lonely, but we can do this if we hang on just a bit longer. I've had a couple of calls with people today who are feeling it, pick up the phone and call people if you can, it's worth it!!
