Little House
I fancied some light reading, so I've started reading my Little House series of books. Yes, I know they are intended to be childrens books, but they are interesting nevertheless for the insight into life in the mid-late 1800s in mid-western America.
I'm still going for my daily "permitted exercise" walks, but also spending a few hours reading each day. I figure that this lockdown is a time for reflection and time to "smell the daisies". Rest and relaxation is good for me.
I also "did a thing"...giving myself a 5-bob haircut! By that, I mean that I took my hair in five separate "bobbles" to cut the layers - unicorn, crown, nape and sides. Hey...it'll grow again, eh?
Then in the evening, I sat with a glass of Mr A's Onslow Apple wine.
Happiness is...
Thought for the day:
"To be content doesn't mean you don't desire more, it means you're thankful for what you have and patient for what's to come." (Tony Gaskins)
