Bubblicious

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,

Do you use the term "stay in your bubble" where you are? I'm not sure if it's just an NZ health thing. But anyway, I'm sure you know immediately what it means.

Caro and I stayed in our bubble today and went to the pharmacy to get our flu jags. As we are both mildly asthmatic we get them free so they gave us a call to say they were available and off we went. It felt quite exciting, being OUTSIDE.

Because of social distancing we had to stand outside until the pharmacy lady called us in. "Are you the two asthmatics?" she asked.

"You make us sound like a double act," I replied. And they lady said, "Well, I suppose you are in a way."

It was nice to talk to a non-Caro person for a bit of a change.

She gave us a form each to fill in and told us to wait. "Do you want me to fill it in for you?" said Caro.

Honestly. How patronising. She treats me like I am a FOOL sometimes.

When we had filled in the form we were ushered into another room and the lady came back.

"Can I get your forms back from you?" she said and Caro handed her forms over.

"Oh. Wait," I said. "You mean there's MORE than one?" I flipped over the piece of paper and there was another sheet. Whoops.

"God's sake," said Caro.

"I was WONDERING why you were taking so long," I explained. "I thought I was just EXCELLENT at filling in forms."

"Are you SURE you don't want me to fill it in for you?" said Caro.

"Okay," I said. Handing it over.

The lady laughed and went away again. When she returned I said, "I've filled in all my forms now, " as Caro handed them over for me.

"There's always ONE, isn't there?" said the lady to Caro.

"Yes!" I replied, happily. "And she married me!"

So we got a jag each and then puttered home again.

Back to the bubble.
